Laura’s 27-year background in marketing communications and public relations is a real plus for clients who are looking for a professional who is thoroughly knowledgeable about all aspects of creative marketing. With her lengthy career in publishing, Laura has a strong background in writing, editing and public relations.
Prior to becoming partners with Greg Connolly and Bob Dukette to form FirstTracks Marketing Group, she worked for a full-service marketing communications agency as Vice President for seven years. She successfully managed many clients, from a wide diversity of industries, in developing fully-integrated marketing communication and public relations campaigns.
Previously she developed and launched two very successful high-tech publications, ID Systems and Desktop Engineering for Helmers Publishing. Laura was publisher of ID Systems and Marketing Director at BYTE magazine, a division of McGraw-Hill. Laura also has extensive experience in event planning in the fields of high-technology and college development. She has been involved in the start-up and management of many successful national conferences and trade shows.
